Dean Gresko, DDS, MS
After graduating from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Science, Dr Gresko attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated 1992. For the past 27 years he has provided dental care for residents of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.
He has continued to expand his professional competency through continuing education in implantology, endodontics and restorative treatment. He is a graduate of the Hebel Implant Institute of the University of Western Ontario and of the Cerec Institute of Computerized Dentistry through the University of Wisconsin.
As past President of the Thunder Bay Dental Association and member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations, he maintains close contact with the dental profession.
When not in the clinic, Dr Gresko volunteers with the St John Ambulance Therapy Dog program, and brings his Golden Retriever dog (Brody) to the clinic to visit patients. He also enjoys training Brody in Agility and Rally Obedience.
He is a long-standing member of the Canadian Armed Forces (31 years), and holds the rank of Lieutenant- Colonel. He currently instructs at the Canadian Forces College in Toronto. He has provided dental care to Canadian Forces members and has been deployed overseas to Cambodia, Indonesia and Timor Leste. In recognition of his outstanding service, he was recently awarded the Order of Military Merit by the Governor General.
